In the field of Terracotta crafts, Odisha constitutes a crowd of skilled artisans with a lineage of expertise. The models vary from huge pots used as cooking apparatus or large storage containers to human and animal figurines used for decoration purposes. The string on display in the museum have largely been collected from districts of Western Odisha and other regions of Baleshwar, Puri and beyond.
